Prayer Garden and Columbarium

Northminster’s Prayer Garden and Memorial Columbarium provides a tranquil, appropriate and convenient place for our church family to worship God in solitude or with others. This beautiful area offers an ideal location for worship, celebration, weddings, innichement committals and special services.

Our heavenly Father directs us to care for one another in spirit and in truth. The garden provides a lovely place where we can meet our Lord, care for and comfort those who are grieving, and ponder God’s glory and experience his grace in prayer.

Garden and Columbarium Design

Our Prayer Garden completes the northeast corner of the church property and was specifically designed to architecturally unite the look of our church campus. A magnificent cross on the outside corner pavilion wall provides a dramatic welcome.

Two colonnades with wide walkways and arches detail the exterior, with wrought iron work and plantings housing 250 granite faced single or double niches. The interior arches allow space for additional niches as needed. Benches are available to provide time for quiet contemplation, prayer and cherished memories.

Bronze memorial plaques celebrate and honor church family members interred elsewhere.

Applications for innichement rights and memorial wall plaques may be obtained from the church office. If you have any questions regarding the Prayer Garden and Memorial Columbarium, or would like a personal tour, please contact our Business Manager.
