Palm Sunday Worship
April 5 | Sanctuary | Service Times: 8, 9:30 & 11am
Receive and worship Christ with waving palm branches and shouts of praise! Our children join in too with singing and shouts of “Hosanna”! A pancake breakfast for children will be served during the 9:30am service.

Holy Week Morning Services
April 6-10 | 7-7:30am
 | Grundstrom Room
Five early morning, uplifting messages and glorious music to start each day of this special week. Refreshments served immediately following.

Maundy Thursday Service of Tenebrae & Holy Communion
April 9 | 7pm
| Sanctuary | Through word, music and the Lord’s Supper, this service dramatizes the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus Christ.

Good Friday April 10 |12pm, St. James Methodist Church
Witness the passion and death of Christ on the cross and look forward to knowing that by his death we have life everlasting.
A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the Tucson Community Food Bank.

Easter Worship
Sunday, April 12

Five unique services, one inspiring message!

6:00am│Sunrise Service

As the sun rises in Northminster’s beautiful outdoor Prayer Garden we’ll be celebrating our risen Lord with joyful resurrection music and a powerful message! The service concludes with each person in attendance adorning our Easter Cross with flowers. 

8:00am│Contemporary Service

The 8am Contemporary service features uplifting, energizing Easter music led by the Contemporary Praise Band, and a special children’s message.

9:30am│Traditional Service

The 9:30am Traditional service includes congregational participation along with festive organ, brass and choral music presented by Northminster’s 50-member Sanctuary Choir. The choir will close the service with the singing of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.

11:00am│Kaleidoscope (Creative Expression)

The Kaleidoscope service is an interactive modern service with Easter music provided by the Contemporary Band.

11:00am│Arise (African-style)

The Arise service is an African-inspired contemporary worship service with English translation. Passionate and exuberant music presented by the African choir and praise team.
Meets in the Fellowship Hall.


Live Butterfly Release Family Experience!

Bring the whole family and join us after our Sanctuary services in the Children’s Courtyard for a special Easter message and the release of live butterflies!

Nursery care

Nursery care is available from 7:45am-1:15pm in Room 2 of our Christian Education Building.

Preschool Storytime

A special Easter story and craft time will be available for children age 3-5 years during the 8, 9:30 & Kaleidoscope (11am) services. Children will attend church with their families and be invited forward before the sermon for a blessing from the pastor and they will then be escorted to their classroom through the Children’s Courtyard.

Parking

Northminster has ample parking in its three lots off of Fort Lowell and Tucson Blvd. On Easter morning the following locations have graciously offered their lots for additional parking:

  • Arizona Design
  • Dan’s Toy Shop
  • Zona Fountains
  • Catalina Terrace Swim Club
  • Street parking is also available on Hedrick Street
