Christmas and Messiah, Georg Frederic Handel’s monumental oratorio, have become inextricably joined.  Two hundred seventy-one years after Handel premiered it in Dublin, Ireland, Messiah still compels the listener into a personal encounter with the prophetic scriptures of salvation.

This extraordinary, dramatic oratorio unfolds the story of salvation with powerful music that touches the hearts of listeners.

Messiah, the story of Redemption, consists of three sections, the first of which uses Old Testament texts that point to the birth of the longed-for Messiah.  These are followed by New Testament scriptures that relate the events of Christ’s birth.
