Is God calling you or someone you know
to lead and serve our congregation?
Our Northminster Nominating Team is asking for your help in seeking individuals to serve in the roles of Ruling Elder, Deacon, and Nominating Team Member.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
As you pray and consider nominations, please keep in mind the following key qualifications:
All nominees for the offices of Ruling Elder and Deacon should:
ROLES
Ruling Elders (three-year term):
Serving alongside ordained pastors, ruling elders make up the Session, the church’s governing body. They nurture the faith and spiritual life of the congregation and provide leadership for the whole church. Elders should demonstrate faith, dedication, and good judgment, reflecting the gospel in both church and community.
Deacons (three-year term):
Deacons follow the example of Jesus by showing compassion and care. They minister to those in need within the church and community. Deacons should have spiritual character, honesty, empathy, good judgment, and lives that reflect Christ’s love.
Nominating Team (one-year term):
The nominating team reviews submissions and prepares the slate of nominees. Team members should have a history of service at Northminster, knowledge of the Session and Board of Deacons, broad relationships within the congregation, and a sincere commitment to this responsibility.

Annual Meeting and Election of Church Leadership
The slate of nominees, including six ruling elders, eight deacons, and a new nominating team will be presented at:
Northminster’s Annual Meeting
Sunday, December 7, 1pm in the Sanctuary
All active members in attendance have the opportunity to vote and elect officers for the coming year.
Please note: Occasionally, additional officers are needed to complete partial terms of vacated positions.
